The Austrian Open-Air Museum is one of the 10 largest centralised open-air museums in Europe. The holistic presentation of historical artefacts from the various federal provinces gives visitors a comprehensive picture of the life and everyday life of the rural population of the past.

Together with the gardens and cultural monuments such as wayside shrines or wayside crosses, the various fences and roofs complete the picture of the settlement landscape from all over Austria.
