Archaeology Museum Worldwide unique finds such as the cult chariot from Strettweg and other archaeological gems from Styria, together with objects from classical antiquity and Egypt, form starting points for existential questions about being human.

Iron Age Danube Route

The archaeological museum is part of the Iron Age Danube Route. The route originated from the transnational EU project Iron-Age-Danube and is a cultural route of the Council of Europe.

The Shaped World. Archaeology of the ArchaeoRegion Southwest Styria

The Universalmuseum Joanneum has firm roots in the region due to the research carried out over decades. The exhibition shows highlights of the Archaeology Museum in a natural context and the presentation of the cultural heritage through the ArchaeoRegion Südweststeiermark.
