Here you will find various formats that encourage creative design and participation. In the various workshops, you can become artistically active in line with the themes of the exhibitions. It's about speaking and doing things yourself.

Space Time

During the summer holidays, we will open what is probably the "weirdest" room in the Kunsthaus every afternoon from Thursday to Sunday. We cordially invite our visitors to discover it and get creative themselves: Space03, the "belly of the Friendly Alien".

Students' Day

Kunsthaus Graz, Camera Austria, and Haus der Architektur regularly invite you to UNI KUM!, an exclusive day for students, Alumni Association members, and employees of all universities in Graz, on which admission and the varied programs are free for them!

Every year, there is an exclusive opportunity to get to know the museum and the current exhibitions better and to learn more about the background of artistic projects and the intentions of the artists.

Customized events and the opportunity to talk to experts complete the shared art experience.

Participation in the Student Day is free of charge for all students, alumni association members, and employees of all Graz universities!

Open House

The Kunsthaus-WIRBEL (2014) became the Open House, which is also inspired by the experiences of the BIG DRAW. At these large-scale events, we bring together a series of projects for a short period that are dedicated to participation and experimentation with materials and technology. The focus is on a program with exciting links to current exhibitions at Kunsthaus Graz that encourages participation and further thinking. Anyone aged 4 to 99 who is curious and wants to experience a varied program of art-related activities is welcome! There will be hands-on stations and workshops, a variety of opportunities to try out artistic techniques as well as informative talks and opportunities for dialogue.
