About the
Exhibition
C-TV relocates to the Kunsthaus. It is a medium from a better future in which the world is a different place. The norm and normality, what is generally regarded as ability or wholeness, has long since given way to a place of the many, where people with disabilities enrich the life of the community with finery and pomp. "C-TV is a television station against the tyranny of a heteronormative and ableist society - radical, critical of representation, humoristic and barrier-free: an emancipatory reorientation of the media world as a contribution to shifting the social atmosphere of the earth." An exhibition and mediation intervention by artists and filmmakers Eva Egermann and Cordula Thym, who were responsible for the iconic film C-TV (If I Tell You, I Like You ...) 2023 was awarded the Diagonale Prize for Innovative Film. The Diagonale festival trailer, which will be shown in cinemas throughout Austria from April 2024, will also be created as part of the exhibition.
