What to do if suddenly the power goes out for a longer period of time? Our annual exhibition shows how life used to function without electricity.

Nowadays, it is almost impossible to imagine life without electricity. Nevertheless, the situation could arise at any time that we are suddenly without electricity. The annual exhibition Mit ohne Strom - Leben wie damals (With no electricity - life as it was then) offers a glimpse into the past, when life without electricity was commonplace. The exhibition spans from cooking on an open fire to the various lighting fixtures, ways of preserving and storing food, to old handicraft techniques with hand-operated tools and the changes in agriculture.
