The barn has 3 functional levels: On the brick-built ground floor, the cattle had a stable and the carts a parking space. The timbered part of the barn can be accessed from the road through large gates, allowing grain and hay to be brought under cover quickly.
The ‘Machlerkammer’ on the south side was used for repairs. A ‘scattering hut’ was added on the north side. The grain was laid out to dry under the roof.
