The program World – Image: Contingencies for the Kellerkino proposes artistic positions that look on the potentialities of artist moving image production as an international infrastructure of communication, exchange and social and artistic imagination, exploring regimes of visibility indifferent contexts, histories and geographies and a cinematic dialogue that is devised to engage the relationships between the image and the world.
Framing space and time, territory and identity,exploring social realities and how these concepts are bound to imagination, unfolding loose connections and tensions between different spatial and temporal dynamics, people and their surroundings, the moving image works by Raffaella Crispino, Dane Komljen and James Lattimer, David Maljković, Filipa Cesar and Louis Henderson and Rebecca Jane Arthur act as a reminder of our active role in defining the current imagery, addressing the perspective of the visible and invisible, narratives and histories that resonate at the margins of contingencies, historical or social renegotiations.
