In this children's book, which was produced in cooperation between the ÖIF and the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing, a storytelling house takes us into the world of yesteryear: How did people live in the past? What was their life and daily routine like? How were the children and what games did they play? Children find answers to these and other questions together with the curious protagonist Maja. In the pedagogical practical material for early language development, the themes of the book are taken up in depth and a connection to the child's world of life and interests is established. The educational practical material consists of 32 picture cards that are enclosed with the book.
