The flower is desired, loved, and traded. It is regarded as a symbol of peace, the fragility of life, and enlightenment. These and other facets serve as the starting point for the Universalmuseum Joanneum and the Kunsthaus Graz to present the full spectrum of the flower in 2026.

Open Call: Research residency
BRIDGE: Building, Revising, Including – Diaspora and Gender Equality
AWARE (Paris), City of Women (Ljubljana), and Kunsthaus Graz, are launching an open call for three research residencies as part of BRIDGE: Building, Revising, Inclusion – Diaspora and Gender Equality, a two-year Creative Europe project (2026–2028). The theme centers women and non-binary artists in exile or with migratory or diasporic backgrounds in Europe.

Finnegan Shannon's work deals with the topic of accessibility and equal rights for people with disabilities.The development of seating furniture with white, often amusingly provocative lettering indicates that public spaces often forget to provide enough seating. Sitting is democratic. Because seated people are at eye level, relaxed and facing each other.
