The Transformation of Vocal Emotional Expression from Schubert and Wagner to Modernity.

 

In this programme, soprano Stephanie Müller-Lorenz travels through the vocal worlds of expression between the beginning of the 19th and the middle of the 20th century with excerpts from epochal works such as Schubert's Winterreise, Wagner's Wesendonck Lieder, Schönberg's Pierrot lunaire, songs and chansons by Olivier Messiaen, Hanns Eisler, Kurt Weill and Zarah Leander.
