Students at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Knowledge Visualization at Graz University of Technology programmed short animations for the BIX Facade of the Kunsthaus Graz as part of a lecture.
The students created the computer code, which in turn generated the animations. Some of these are physically based, consist of sets of rules or use artificial intelligence. One aim was to enable viewers to recognize something even at close range. The main thing that had to be taken into account was the small number of just 930 fluorescent lamps. A television picture, on the other hand, consists of around 440,000 pixels.
