Overview
The Universalmuseum Joanneum feels an obligation towards all people - especially those who are unfortunately unable to afford admission to our museums due to their current living situation. We therefore support the campaign ‘Hunger for Art & Culture’, which allows us to bring our exhibitions closer to these people too.

Free admission
The pass 'Hunger for Art and Culture' grants free admission, free participation in all regular tours (with the exception of Schloss Eggenberg garden, rose tours, and certain candlelight tours) and selected family programmes.
Reduced admission to the Universalmuseum Joanneum: Holders of a Bühnen Graz Card receive a € 2 discount on the location ticket (€ 1 discount at the Rosegger Museum and Rosegger Birthplace) and a € 3 discount on the 24-hour ticket. Herberstein Animal World and the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing are excluded.
The annual ticket is only available at the ticket centre at a reduced price of € 27 (upon presentation of the Bühnen Graz Card or a Bühnen product).
Every Sunday is Drei KulturSonntag at the Universalmuseum Joanneum: With your Drei mobile phone or your Drei voucher you get two tickets for the price of one at all museum ticket offices.
Energie Steiermark customer club ‘Energiesammler’: Points collected in the club can be redeemed for various offers.
The GenussCard grants free entry to all our museum sites (State Rooms at Eggenberg Palace from the third night onwards). Please note our seasonal opening hours. Exception: Schloss Trautenfels.
The Graz Card grants free entry to all sites of the Universalmuseum Joanneum in Graz and to the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing as well as free transportation by public means of transport within the city. For visits to Eggenberg Palace and to the Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing, please note our seasonal opening hours.
ICOM members enjoy free admission to all museums of the Universalmuseum Joanneum.
ÖAMTC members receive up to € 2 discount on regular admission prices at the Universalmuseum Joanneum locations (except Herberstein Animal World) as well as on 24-hour and 48-hour tickets.
Discount of up to €3 on all full-price tickets (except annual ticket and Club Joanneum) for members of the Ö1 Club and Ö1 intro (plus accompanying person) with the Ö1 Club or Ö1 intro membership card.
The Steiermark-Card grants endless free entry to our museums and exhibits from 1. April until 31. Oktober, except Austrian Open-Air Museum Stübing only one free entry.

Admission to the park is free of charge.

Visitors with a valid ticket for the Neue Galerie Graz or the Kunsthaus Graz receive reduced admission to Museum Moderner Kunst Kärnten in 2026.
Schloss Trautenfels
Members of the Schloss Trautenfels Association enjoy free admission to Schloss Trautenfels.
With the Pyhrn-Priel SaisonCard you can visit Trautenfels Castle and all exhibitions as often as you like with free admission during the period of validity of the card.
With the Salzkammergut Card you can visit Trautenfels Castle and all exhibitions at a reduced admission price during the period of validity of the card.
With the Schladming-Dachstein Sommercard you can visit Trautenfels Castle and all exhibitions as often as you like with free admission during the period of validity of the Sommercard.
With the Sommerclou Card you can visit Trautenfels Castle and all exhibitions at a reduced admission price during the period of validity of the card.
Museum für Geschichte und Neue Galerie
One ticket, twice the experience: with a ticket to one museum, you can also visit the exhibition at the other museum free of charge!
