The entrance to the museum on the Herrengasse is easily accessible and a newly fitted lift provides access to the exhibition areas for all visitors.

The route around the inside areas provides step-free access. The upper floors contain wooden panels from old ships. They have been worn away over centuries and therefore they are uneven in a few places.

A disabled access toilet is available on the ground floor. It is accessible via a ramp (7% gradient) – assistance may be required.
