The Armoury of the Styrian Estates was designed as a plain utilitarian building in the first half of the seventeenth century. On its four upper floors spanning 2,000 square metres, the military equipment was stored according to practical considerations and so as to take up as little space as possible. Only a small, select group of people were involved in the day-to-day operation of the Armoury.
