Human Rights Day

On the occasion of International Human Rights Day and the 30th anniversary of the Gewaltschutzzentrum Steiermark (Styrian Violence Protection Center), Article 3 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights can be read on the media façade of Kunsthaus Graz:

“Everyone has the right to life, liberty, and security of person.”

The Gewaltschutzzentrum Steiermark sees its task as accompanying people affected by violence part of the way, working with them to develop prospects for a life free of violence.

This year, artist Iris Andraschek has once again created five human rights posters for the multi-year denk mal! project Strobl. These will be displayed at selected locations in the city of Graz and at the Kunsthaus Graz around December 10.
