How can we live together not only as migrants and hosts, but as societies shaped by crisis, polarization, and ongoing change?
HOME IN TIME is an invitation to come together. From institutions that work together. But above all from creative people and from migrant communities who live and work in Graz.
Structured as a “string of pearls”, the performance HOME IN TIME gathers theoretical, musical and performative contributions from scholars, artists, and cultural workers on migration, multilinguality, coexistence, and the fragility of being together. Each contribution stands on its own, yet is connected to the others through a growing series of shared keywords: Home, Time, Translation, OneWorld... all of which reflect on a wish expressed by artist Anton Tkachenko, serving as the first pearl:
‘I really want to talk about how we can live together. That is the
challenge I face every day. And it's not just about how to live as a
Ukrainian in Austria or as a migrant in Europe. I see this problem
in a larger context. I see it as a challenge for society in times of
instability and polarisation.’ (Anton Tkachenko)
What if coexistence is thought of not as a state, but as a practice?
Що, якщо співіснування розглядати не як стан, а як практику?
ماذا لو تم التفكير في التعايش ليس كحالة بل كممارسة؟
