The Kunsthaus Garden is growing. You can see pink, blue, white and yellow flowers, green tomatoes and purple aubergines. Come and visit the garden, discover and taste the many plants, flowers and herbs, enjoy their scent – or simply sit down on a bench and rest your legs.

The city is greener!
Our call for interested gardeners bore fruit and all beds have now been allocated – either to neighbouring institutions or individuals. Andreas Flach and his team from Jugend am Werk started building the 12 beds on the 20th April. They used second-hand pallets and pieces of wood, making the beds in the open air workshop outside Kunsthaus on the Lendkai side. Together with Andreas Goritschnig from GardenLab Graz, they designed the 2015 Kunsthaus Garden.
On your knees – ready – dig!
Our gardening project started at the beginning of Lendwirbel, on the 2nd of May. Raised beds filled with soil have been individually planted and the gardeners can already see the fruits of their labour. A public water pipe with watering cans has been transformed into the central meeting point for the gardeners.
“We have already picked one harvest and made things such as home-made basil pesto,” describes Eva-Maria Kabas, bfi Steiermark, Graz Production School.
Thank you to all participating institutions and gardeners!
