Jennifer Mattes

A silvery, melancholic glitter world where time stands still. Mirages, ships, and tears have come to rest here, while the world keeps turning. Jennifer Mattes assembles found material from film, music, and furnishings into fantastical hybrid figures of abandoned film sets.

Her work is woven across the foyer, courtyard, and basement of the Kunsthaus. In addition to the exhibition at the Kunsthaus, Jennifer Mattes is the author of the Diagonale’21-Trailer.
