Landscape Brochure 2015

Cooperation with the Photography Academy Graz

Organised within the framework of the 1000 pictures of an exhibition competition, the project is a cooperation with Academy of Applied Photography Graz, led by Herman Herzele. With work by Moritz Ablinger-Wiesinger, Harald Wawrzyniak and Franz Aigner.

As part of the Landscape Catalogue project, Space05 puts local landscapes in the spotlight. The wallpapered space reveals romantic and objective perspectives onto a landscape shaped by tourism. As part of the focus on the landscape, students at the photography academy in Graz were invited to reveal their approach to the topic. The images exhibited represent a selection of the photographs produced.

At the same time, the project provides a stage for the open photography competition, Thousand Images of an Exhibition, and invites you to get involved in the images of the local landscape by taking your own pictures. Space05 thereby become a place of participation, a place for visitors to relax, a place for groups and for workshops. Here, you can also explore personal landscapes which have already been submitted.

Space05’s makeover started at the end of March. This first cooperation with the Academy of Applied Photography Graz resulted in a participative space of communication, where involvement is encouraged. The space has been transformed by four different landscape backdrops. Visitors can step into the landscape, take photos and participate in a photography competition at Universalmuseum Joanneum, with the chance of winning amazing prizes. A change has taken place: For a short period of time, Space05 has been transformed into the landscape and event participants into its protagonists.
