On Love Afterwards explores how art can expose and make visible power asymmetries and political violence, but also courage and solidarity. By connecting the political and social realities of former Yugoslavia with present-day circumstances, Milica Tomić reveals the structural and systemic global conditions that enable violence and injustice. The book addresses a global situation shaped by the consolidation of militarized power, the normalization of mass death, and the resurgence of nationalist state formations, exposing these as structural features of contemporary politics.
 

Texts by Branislava Anđelković and Branislav Dimitrijević, Ivana Bago, Sezgin Boynik, Zasha Colah, Branislav Jakovljević, Giulia Menegale, Lívia Páldi, Jelena Petrović, and Jelena Vesić situate the artist’s practice within a broader theoretical and artistic discourse while also shedding light on the collaborative processes behind her projects.
