Accessibility

at the History Museum

Here you will find information on accessibility at the History Museum at a glance.

A flat entrance area leads from the Sackstrasse road to the counter. Step-free access to the upper floors of the museum is provided via the large entrancet. Care should be exerted when walking or pushing a wheelchair along the red carpet because it is somewhat uneven due to the sub-structure.

A disabled access lift is available, cloakroom lockers are provided at the required height and disabled access toilets can be found on the first and second floors.

The second floor of the History Museum contains the permanent exhibition. Users of electric wheelchairs need to pay attention here: there is an obstacle close to the end of the exhibition. The route leads around a corner and is too narrow to pass through! However the exhibition can be viewed in full from the other side.
