The Zaungäste project is working with local residents to create a 240-metre-long fence on the northern edge of the Triesterviertel district. For one month, the cycle path along the railway tracks between Hofer and Möbel Lutz will become an ‘art mile’. Under artistic guidance, workshops will be held in advance with young adults (Jugend am Werk), the ‘girls' group’ of the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Sozialraum 3 (Jugend am Werk, Caritas and Kinderfreunde), and residents of the neighbourhood.

In 2019, the Institute for Art in Public Space Styria invites you to the sixth edition of its small-group Sunday discovery tours. The motto NIE-OHNE-SEIFE-WASCHEN (NEVER WASH WITHOUT SOAP) remains the same, i.e. four tours will be undertaken from Graz in the four cardinal directions N-E-S-W, with a new programme and destinations. The spoken language is German.

After many years of collaboration, we are particularly pleased to participate in two major art projects to mark the 15th anniversary of Elevate. Two collaborative projects on the festival theme of Truth will be implemented by the artist collectives Kleft and schnellebuntebilder/Knoth&Renner in collaboration with Elevate Arts curator Berit Gilma. The projects will be prominently visible in the city of Graz and in the digital space, as well as taking place in secret locations that are open to the public.

In 2019, one of the display cases at Joanneumring hosted book presentations staged by artists. We kicked things off with our current yearbook 2016/2017. In April, Markus Jeschaunig followed with the first artistic presentation. Other guests included TU Graz/GAM, Norbert Trummer, KLEFT and zweintopf followed.

Milica Tomić's project developed especially for steirischer herbst was the first stage of a work in progress. Excavating soil from the site of the former forced labour camp, she transferred it into the exhibition space.
