Signal from Dachstein creates space for shared reflection on the future of this climate-sensitive Alpine region through a combination of art, science, nature and culture.

This special exhibition opens up a dialogue between topics specific to the region, which are now contextualised and discussed at a European and in parts even at a global level.

The goal of this exhibition is to produce a ground-breaking, generally comprehensible analysis of the social challenge presented by the health system, as affected by changes in the climate and its impact on people’s way of living, among other things.

The exhibition shows the expeditions made by Styrians who tackled Asia’s highest peaks. The adventurous tales of climbing come to life through a multimedial presentation of historical and present-day documentaries, combined with original objects on display.

Four artists from the Ennstal region once again get involved in the special exhibition at Schloss Trautenfels with their works.

To mark two anniversaries – 500 years of the Lutheran Theses (2017) and 800 years of the Diocese of Graz-Seckau (2018) – the new special exhibition in Schloss Trautenfels is dedicated to the general theme of ‘faith and believing’.
