Join EMIL on a tour of the Landschaftsmuseum

Guided tours with workshop

Accompanied and guided tours with age-appropriate workshops for younger visitors.
Duration: 2 to 3 hours

EMIL, the castle ghost of Schloss Trautenfels, guides visitors around the Landschaftsmuseum and highlights the architecture of the historic building. For this tour, EMIL has again come up with a quiz to guide young people around the museum. He explains major events in the history of the castle and asks visitors some “spirited questions” about the cultural and natural history of the District of Liezen. Who gave the castle its name? Why did the castle become a museum? What actually is a museum? How does a forest develop? What did the Enns Valley look like 20,000 years ago? What device was used to decorate homemade butter? How did people live and work before the industrial revolution? Where is Countess Anna Lamberg-Werndl's bathroom? Can you answer these and other exciting (and sometimes even funny) questions?

At the ATELIER, EMIL invites our younger visitors to get creative! In a workshop, you can design and personalise your very own “Schloss Trautenfels greeting card.” EMIL is giddy with excitement and looks forward to lots of colourful cards.
