About the
Project

Freischwinger (How to explain bad loans to Deutsche Bank).  Performance and installation with sculptural objects made of iron rods, textiles and rubber balls.

On 17 September 2020, the two historical artists Joseph Beuys and Martin Kippenberger appeared in a two-hour performance. The two met by chance at a petrol station in Graz and began a fictional dialogue about social phenomena. In the process, they were confronted with the present day of 2020, with socio-political issues ranging from emancipation and ecology to the effects of capitalism on our bodies and an ironic questioning of our own behaviour patterns.

The performance took place with the inclusion of sculptural objects and installation elements that served as tools for action and props. Afterwards, a video was shown at NonStopScheiner as a documentation of the performance.
