In the permanent exhibition in the former country house of Peter Rosegger (1843-1918), you will discover interesting and amusing details of Peter Rosegger's life and work through personal everyday objects, letters and documents. The writer and poet was already widely known during his lifetime and was in close contact with numerous artists of his time. The Rosegger Museum in Krieglach shows Peter Rosegger from a different perspective and invites visitors to discover new, previously less noticed aspects of the writer, journalist and poet. In doing so, we are taking a long overdue step away from the cliché of the romanticized forest farmer boy trudging through the deep snow in winter and towards the critical, political and sometimes self-dramatizing Styrian.
