The Augustinian Canons' Monastery with its magnificent Baroque collegiate church dominates the image of the hill country around the market town of Stainz. In 1840, Archduke Johann, the pioneer of modern hunting in Styria, acquired the manor. The hunting museum in the castle provides exciting insights into the connections between hunting, game ecology and nature, and the agricultural museum presents the many facets of agricultural and forestry work and life in a modern permanent exhibition!
