Anja Korherr’s paintings are complex pictorial structures. The painter and comic artist creates surreal ideas of space based on prepared photographic stagings. These phantasmagoria, which seem to follow the modernist vocabulary (Cubism, Futurism), nomadize as memory or dream images through various media (photography, performance, painting). The fragmented and superimposed spatial structures make it difficult to classify the pictorial events. Fiction and reality cancel each other out.

“Night shifters” are not only people who work normally at night. It’s also a computer feature that automatically bathes a display’s colors in warmer light after sunset.
