About Natural History Museum

On the 15th of March 2013, a completely redesigned Natural History Museum with a greatly enlarged exhibition space opened in the Joanneum Quarter. It houses fascinating exhibitions by all the natural sciences departments of the Joanneum Universal Museum.

In autumn 2009, the scientific workrooms, libraries, laboratories, workshops and collections of Botany, Geology & Palaeontology, Mineralogy and Zoology moved to the Centre of Natural History in Andritz, Graz. You can get in touch with Joanneum scientists there personally to ask for expert information. You can also visit lectures, courses and seminars at the Centre
