Late Summer Celebration at the Austrian Sculpture Park 2022

Every summer the Austrian Sculpture Park invites visitors to the Late Summer Celebration to enjoy the last days of summer with a diverse programme of art, music and a culinary offer framed by the unique atmosphere of the park.


Presentation of Chris Burden's Beehive Bunker, 2003

The highlight of this year's event will be the presentation of the concrete sculpture Beehive Bunker by the late American artist Chris Burden. The sculpture is on permanent loan from the Graz-Köflacher Bahn und Busbetrieb GmbH (GKB) and the Stadtgemeinde Deutschlandsberg.


Emancipation of Wonder

At 4:00 pm there will be the final tour of a series of special performative guided tours through the sculpture park. The programme is based on texts and movements by children of the Kalkleiten and Tobelbad primary schools and have been arranged and choreographey by Marta Navaridas and Alex Deutinger, conducted by Julie Eröd and Jaschka Lämmert.


Accompanying Programme

There will be music by Monique Fessl, a special kid's workshop (ages 5-12 years), aswell as a culinary offer by Revita Catering.
