An unused, publicly accessible pavilion architecture in the city centre of Graz was transformed into an art and media platform in 2019 by the Institute for Art in Public Space Styria (KiöR). This year, the centrally located venue will once again become an open-air cinema that is open non-stop.
A video and film programme curated by Elisabeth Fiedler and Jasmin Haselsteiner-Scharner deals with public urban space and its conventions. In a partly critical, partly humorous way, the artists explore the conditions of urban life and often question them by means of interventions and actions in public space. Topics such as surveillance, mobility and urban culture are addressed and negotiated.
