An unused and publicly accessible pavilion architecture from the 1960s has been converted into a platform for film and video art. In the inner city of Graz, next to the Opera Pavilion (Opernring 17), a film and video art programme is projected around the clock several months. The programme is curated by Elisabeth Fiedler and Filomeno Fusco and is divided into several thematic blocks. Under the motto ‘In the beginning was silent film’, only films without sound will be shown until December 2019, thus focusing on the visual level.
Günther Holler-Schuster (curator, Neue Galerie Graz) will support the institute with its extensive media collection in selecting the film contributions.
As guest curators, Roman Grabner (BRUSEUM) and the Diagonale team will each present a programme during the entire run.
The NonStopScheiner display was designed by Studio Magic.
The opening takes place on 11 April 2019 at 5 p.m. with popcorn and the first part of the programme, Film and Video Art from Graz.
