About the
Project

The art installation is part of Gertrude Moser-Wagner's ART CONTAINS initiative within the Institute for Interactive Spatial Projects.

Originally originating in folk culture, the waltz was also danced in meadows and allowed the sexes to come together (in public) for the first time.

The art installation ‘Linkswalzer’ by Doris Jauk-Hinz can be viewed for a week on the Murfeld near the Kaindorferbrücke. Primitive forms of ritual dance can be found in the temple dance of the women at Angkor Wat (Cambodia). Women from this country will perform a short version at the opening and dance for the audience. The mayor of St. Georgen am Kreischberg, Cäcilia Spreitzer, will welcome the guests.

This will be followed by tastings – an Asian and Styrian buffet – and musicians from Kaindorf have been invited to perform.
