Science Center

Opening: spring 2019 (planned)

The Science Center is financially supported by the Province of Styria, the city of Graz, and a series of private sponsors.

About Science Center

It is planned that at year-end 2018 a Science Center of a new kind will be opened in the Joanneum Quarter in the form of a cooperation between the Universalmuseum Joanneum and the Graz Children’s Museum Frida & freD.

Specially created theme-based spaces with imaginative storylines allow visitors to immerse themselves in the science and technology using play. Numerous hands-on stations, an augmented reality area, as well as the chance to make things themselves all arouse the curiosity of youngsters.

Through various creative and didactic approaches in the way science and applied technology are presented, a broad public can be addressed and made more aware of these themes.
