In context of the course „Einführung in die künstlerische Projektarbeit (Introduction to artistic projectwork)“ taught by Brigitte Kovacs students of the teaching program „Kunst und Gestaltung (Art and design)“ at the Teacher Training Collage Styria worked on artworks in the public space of Graz. Jasmin Haselsteiner-Scharner (Institute forArt in Public Space Styria) gave interested students a guided tour through the city in March 2023, focusing on a variety of artworks. The students created art and picture books about an artwork of their choosing, aiming to bring more attention to art in public space and its artistic mediation.
In his art book Oliver Ofner focused on Wolfgang Temmel's artwork Remise. Romana Reiterer examinded Catrin Bolt's Lauftext-Mahnmal in her book project. In his work, Felix Richler chose the Taubenbrunnen by Walter Ritter as his focus. In his picture book Urs Rindler considered not only Wilhelm Gösser‘s Denkmal für Major Hackher but also other sculptures depicting animals throughout the city. And Katharina Haas focused on Raphaela Miklaucs‘s artwork Disko-Denker.
On June 29th the results of the term projects were presented during a city walk.
