About the event

The Natural History Museum and the protection of species – a connection deliberately made more visible to the outer world since the Citizen Science Projects begun in 2018. To mark World Wildlife Day on March 3rd, the Natural History Museum, together with its partners, will place the focus on one endangered species. Revealing how an animal lands up on the Red List of Threatened Species, the museum consciously takes a step in the right direction. Species leave the Red List not only in far-off countries – it happens right in our own backyard, too.

For 2021, the team for nature education, alongside scientists from the department of natural science, have selected the domestic amphibious and reptile species. Let’s support these species together and offer them a habitat! Let’s all move in the right direction, for every one of us can make a contribution in this regard.
