The protection and health of our visitors* and employees* is our top priority. Therefore, we ensure strict compliance with all prescribed and recommended hygiene and safety standards. We also ask you to take our rules and measures into account when visiting the museum - only together can we create a safe visiting atmosphere. We look forward to seeing you!

General Rules Expand Box
  • The "2-G rule" applies to visits to the museum - please bring proof that you have been vaccinated or have recovered. Visitors who are neither vaccinated nor recovered must wear an FFP2 mask
  • For groups of 25 or more people in enclosed spaces, the "3-G rule" still applies to all visitors - please present proof that you have been vaccinated, tested or have recovered. 
  • For groups of 100 or more people in enclosed spaces, the "3-G rule" still applies to all visitors - please present proof that you have been vaccinated, tested or have recovered. In addition, all group participants must be registered.
  • For all groups: Visitors who are neither vaccinated, recovered nor tested must wear an FFP2 mask
  • Random checks will be carried out on site.

The Rosegger Museum is located in the immediate vicinity of the Krieglacher Bahnhof and can be reached on foot in 5 minutes.

Rosegger's Birthplace, the Kluppeneggerhof, is a 30 minute walk away from the parking lot and can be reached following the sign "Aufgang Geburtshaus". There is no direct access for cars and buses. A shuttle service via cab is recommended for people with mobility problems.

Rosegger Museum does not have disabled access to wheelchair users (with or without assistance), visitors with reduced mobility, blind people and visually impaired visitors.

Rosegger’s Birthplace Alpl does not have disabled access due to its hillside location and protected monument status. It therefore does not offer easy barrier-free access to wheelchair users (with or without assistance), visitors with reduced mobility, blind people and visually impaired visitors.

Please note that Rosegger’s Birthplace is located at 1,200 m above sea level and is only accessible via a footpath (forest trail). The walk takes approx. 30 minutes. Access by private car is not permitted. Wheelchair users can take a taxi here but the cost will not be covered by the museum.
