Stefflnhütte, Blaa Alm

Styria

Built: 1786
Year of translocation: 2008

In Altaussee, there are 16 alp pastures. The Blaa Alm, where the Steffler-Hütte was located, is one of the 8 ”lower alps” of Altaussee. The Freller Family, the last proprietors of this alp hut, had the “right to use the alp” for 8 cattle, as was decreed for this hut by the landowner, the Austrian Federal Forests.

In addition, there is the right to use the alp wood for construction purposes, fences and firewood.
