Object Space Narrative

On Interacting with Things

23.03.2018

Workshop

Registration required!

Why not start the year off once again with a general look at objects in exhibitions? How aware are we of the significance of things as relics and legacies, as representatives and witnesses, as artefacts and symbols when we exhibit them? How do we discuss the value and the possible reception of originals, models, and copies when we arrange them in the exhibition space? How can original objects be staged in a meaningful way, be used as productive elements of narratives, or be utilised for their relevance to historical experience? How far does historical responsibility go, and where are the limits of immersion?

The current exhibitions in vorarlberg museum and Simon Fujiwara’s Hope House exhibition in Kunsthaus Bregenz will serve as the workshop’s points of departure and practical examples.
