Tasked with reporting

Press and public relations work in museums

03.12.-04.12.2015

Workshop in cooperation with vorarlberg museum

Registration required!

Short-staffed editorial offices and journalists under time and production pressure, the introduction of ever newer technological possibilities, and media consumption habits that have changed radically in just a few years: Together with media and museum experts we will examine the question of what perspectives the abovementioned developments open up for public relations work in museums. What does the future hold for traditional reporting on the arts? What stories are journalists interested in, and why do they ignore others? How does the daily work of public relations team leaders and the composition of the teams change when they have to service newspapers, television or social media equally? How is it possible to keep up with media developments when these require technological expertise and entail additional costs? And will it still be possible to draw a line between public relations work and marketing in the future?
