Honour and Vanity

On 4 November 1922, the National Council passed the Federal Law on the Creation of "Decorations for Services to the Republic of Austria". On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the legal regulation of the Austrian system of decorations, the exhibition "Honour and Vanity" offers an overview of the decorations of the Republic of Austria and the Austrian Federal provinces.

The exhibition features the decorations of the Austrian Medals of Honour and the Order of Merit, including cases, decrees, award pictures, etc., in addition to other awards of the Republic of Austria and a high-quality selection of the decorations of the federal provinces. The exhibition is a joint project with the Austrian Society for the Study of Orders.
