Luminaire Design Made in Styria

Luminaire Design Made in Styria

In collaboration with Creative Industries Styria

The Kunsthaus continues its series in which contemporary artists and designers play a part in designing our furnishings, engaging at various levels with the functions, routines and needs of the institution. Our designs and arrangements ensure that, unconventionally, visitors encounter art and design from the moment they enter the Kunsthaus at ground-floor level.

EPHEMERE

An intervention by Julia Bornefeld

Space05 is host to a glittering light object: EPHEMERE. Site/Cite. Speaking in Tongues While Splitting One's Own

Site/Cite. Speaking in Tongues While Splitting One's Own

A project by Birke Gorm

Birke Gorm sees the Kunsthaus as an organic body, whose ‘lifelines’ lie in the visitors’ hallway. She intervenes in this place of movement. The handrail is thus suddenly interrupted and replaced by the bronze cast of a branch that fits in seamlessly with the standardised railings.
