Getting here

  • Take exit "Lieboch" on A2 Highway
  • On B76 (Radlpass Bundesstraße) towards "Deutschlandsberg" until exit "Stainz" (castle will be on your right)
  • Take "Grazer Straße" towards the hill to reach Schloss Stainz

You can either explore the museums of the Schloss Stainz on your own or take part in a tour.

The exhibition rooms offer plenty of space for wheelchairs. The media and audio stations are fitted with headphones.

Certain items in the exhibition can also be touched e.g. fur and feathers etc. and are within easy reach.

Assistance dogs are welcome in all of the buildings, park areas and exhibitions of the Universalmuseum Joanneum.

Pushchairs Expand Box

Pushchairs are not permitted but baby carriers (front or back carrying) can be supplied at the counter.
