A Land of Images

The media revolution of the 20th century has changed our perception fundamentally. Images have left their mark on the collective memory since then and are always with us, whether in textbooks, newspapers or the Internet. They also define the collective image of our history, culture and self-image. The Multimedia Collections present the visual memory of Styria as a ‘land of images’ and reflect the image as a medium of seemingly invisible and subtle resistance as well.
