We Women Pickers

The Erzberg is calling. And it has been doing so for centuries. At the beginning of the 20th century, it also called more and more women, who worked in shifts in twelve sorting and picking plants at the Erzberg from 1912 to 1967: the so-called Klauberfrauen. The last traces of the „Klaubanlagen“ have long since disappeared. But the memory lives on: of hard physical work and of a community of women workers characterized by cohesion and mutual support.
