What does the world sit on when we sit on it? As in many of her works, Alicja Kwade questions our habits of perception. In relation to the heavy weight of Sol LeWitt’s Wall, harmoniously floating stones, and bronze globe chairs trace scientific models of planetary certainties. Are rotation and gravity as basic conditions of our life on the blue marble perhaps simply a question of the visibility of all dimensions?
