What is sacred to us, what do we feel is worth protecting? Azra Akšamija's solo exhibition Sanctuary traces cultural codes and patterns, constructions of identity as well as safe havens of belonging and explores changeable protective spaces of various kinds. Here, architecture can be a sustainably protective shell, and fashion productive appropriation and socially activating tool.
