The Much Sought-after Guest II

Audience research as the basis for visitor-oriented museum work

  • 01.03.-02.03.2012

Workshop
in cooperation with the Museumsdienste Basel

Registration required!

The “The Much Sought-after Guest” workshop was such a success in Munich in 2011 that the event will be followed up by a more in-depth seminar in Basel in 2012, which will focus on the following questions: What approaches, methods and best practice models are there in the area of visitor research? What makes the difference between the success and failure of individual projects and how can the knowledge gained be transformed into strategic museum work? Where do general audience research and exhibition evaluation meet? And what networks need to be developed to promote exchange and professionalisation in the German-speaking world? A Pecha Kucha evening on the day before the event will provide an opportunity to present one’s own projects and to talk with the experts present.
