Outlook

The Kunsthaus Graz has been designed as an art centre for organising international exhibitions of multi-disciplinary modern and contemporary art. It does not collect; it does not set up permanent exhibitions, nor does it have permanent depots or research departments. In a multifaceted way, it serves exclusively the ends of presenting and promoting contemporary artistic production.

The Kunsthaus Graz is run as an independent unit by Universalmuseum Joanneum. In the framework of this venerable Styrian museum, it is above all closely linked to the Neue Galerie, which has stood up for presenting and collecting modern and contemporary art over the last decades.
