A vivid film portrait showing intimate encounters with legendary artist personalities who infused the turbulent New York art scene with new dynamism in the postwar years, from Barnett Newman to Andy Warhol.
In an introductory dialogue, Achim Hochdörfer (Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig Wien) and exhibition curator Peter Pakesch provide glimpses of what the period meant for art history, as a turning point in American art and culture.
